Anyways, to address the end of the hiatus: the whole reason I stopped posting for those whole 274 days was because I found it hard to recall what I had done that day in any way that made sense, because I'm like that. But since I can recall what happened yesterday rather easily, I guess I'll just do that for now.
[the one thing that bother me about my last post is, I never did get around to starting that story, and no I'll never know what that idea was. Meh.]
Anyways, onto yesterday.
I didn't really have anything to do yesterday, since everyone was out doing something, leaving me at home. So what did I do? I watched the NCIS marathon, for like, 11 hours. Yeah.
The day before that was a bit more interesting: Me and
Anyways, onto the beach. We arrived, then tried to set up a tent contraption which took a bit of coordination. After that, I proceeded to start build an awesome, labor- and time- intensive sand castle, but then was promptly
There's a certain art to boogie boarding (or bodyboarding, whatever you call it). When you do get it right though, it is certainly an exhilarating experience. I need to figure out how fast One of those waves is going one day.
When our group returned I found that my unfinished castle had been bombarded by rocks. Jerks. After that we ate some food. Then I went off to build a grander, more square castle of the same magnitude of labor- and time- intensity. I stayed with it the whole time to make sure it was safe.
Sand castles and perfectionism do not go hand in hand. This castle took forever, even though it was barely 3' by 3'. But, it was high quality, with inverted-bucket towers at each corner and two for the gate. Suffice to say, I was contented with my handiwork.
After that people were burying various body parts and someone suggested that we dig a hole and stick someone in it. So I did. I managed to get down about 30", enough to reach some people's waists. Amazingly, we had reached the waterline from several yards away from the shore.
After that, we proceeded to pack up, clean up, and get ice cream. Then go home. It was a fun day.
The day before Saturday was certainly fun too: I managed to get my joule thief circuit working, but rather than go into a huge explanation of what that took, I'll just say I'm happy that it does.
Ugh this is too long now so I'll stop and put more stuff into the next post.
